2006 Joint Lions - Rotary Meeting

On Thursday May 25, 2006 the Orangeville Lions Club joined with other local Lions and Rotary Clubs in a joint meeting of community service organizations.  This is the second year that Lions and Rotarians got together to share ideas as well as update each other on major activities and accomplishments of the clubs and to enjoy the fellowship of like-minded, service oriented community members.
 
This year’s special guest speaker was Jim Waite of the 2006 gold medal winning Canadian Men’s Olympic Curling Team.  Jim provided an excellent, fun filled presentation on the motivation needed to reach a world winning status and the unique experience of participating on a world stage.
